Served as a Director (Board Member) 2010 – 2013 to the Board of the Insurance Regulatory Authority of Uganda representing the Secretary to the Treasury. During his term, he chaired the Board Audit Committee and was a member of the Board Technical and Human Resource Committees. As a Board, we accomplished the transformation of IRAU from the Uganda Insurance Commission; improved the insurance Supervisory framework; and enhanced insurance marked confidence, institution reputation and confidence.
Holds a BSc Honors Degree in Economics and a Masters Degree in Financial Management; an Accredited Fellow of the Macroeconomic and Financial Management Institute (MEFMI) of the Eastern and Southern Africa; and a Member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA Member)

Mr. Dan N. Badebye is a Member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU), a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), and a graduate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators (ICSA).
He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree from Makerere University and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the East & Southern Africa Management Institute (ESAMI) & Maastricht School of Management (MSM).
He is a Ugandan national with over 16 years’ experience in Government and Not-For Profit Accounting, Charities and Donor funded project financial management and Reporting. He previously worked as Head of Finance at National Drug Authority, Head of Support Services at Baylor-Uganda, Institute Bursar at Uganda Management Institute and Finance Manager at The Trident Trust.
He is the Chair, Accountants in Public Sector Committee and a Member, Member Services Committee of ICPAU Council.
