It is often a wise thing to plan one’s retirement early enough. Occupation retirement benefits schemes have become a popular way. Occupational retirement benefits schemes in Uganda are licensed to operate by the Uganda Retirement Benefits Regulatory Authority (URBRA). These kinds of schemes are set up under irrevocable trust with the leadership of the employer, who is also the sponsor.
The scheme may be established as a provident fund or pension scheme. In addition, the scheme may be set up as a defined benefit scheme or defined contribution scheme.
