A Financial Economist with a solid background in financial analysis, Investment and Non-Bank financial sector policy development. Accomplished policy development work at the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development in non-bank financial sector with success in initiating policy and regulatory reforms in Insurance, Pension and Capital markets. Drafted Uganda’s Public Debt Management Framework 2013 and the Medium Term Debt Management Strategy.
Served as a Director (Board Member) 2010 – 2013 to the Board of the Insurance Regulatory Authority of Uganda representing the Secretary to the Treasury. During his term, he chaired the Board Audit Committee and was a member of the Board Technical and Human Resource Committees. As a Board, we accomplished the transformation of IRAU from the Uganda Insurance Commission; improved the insurance Supervisory framework; and enhanced insurance marked confidence, institution reputation and confidence.
Holds a BSc Honors Degree in Economics and a Masters Degree in Financial Management; an Accredited Fellow of the Macroeconomic and Financial Management Institute (MEFMI) of the Eastern and Southern Africa; and a Member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA Member)
